Please join us in welcoming Saffi Rain to the Olalla Center team! Saffi is now working with us as a Skills Trainer for our Outpatient Services program.
Saffi shares, "I was raised in England surrounded by rolling hills and wobbly villages. I love to travel and moved back to my American husband’s beloved Oregon Coast in 2019 with our daughter and two dogs.
I have worked with children from 3 months to 16 years of age with social, emotional, learning and behavioral difficulties in various British schools. Within those settings, I tended to children’s basic physical needs, delivered social skills, developed personalized interventions, implemented pastoral policies, and encouraged inquisitive minds. My secretarial experience in UK Law Firms enabled me to assist with child placement, guardianship claims, emergency protective orders and relationship disputes. As a caregiver at a Newport memory care facility, I enjoyed aiding the elderly of our community and learning about their individual personalities, pasts and perspectives.
Now, as a full-time student at OSU, studying Human Development & Family Sciences BSc, I hope to add to my existing qualifications and progress my career in providing person-centered services, with a focus on compassion, autonomy and guidance. The Olalla Center’s supportive environment makes it an amazing asset to the community and I feel privileged to be a member of the team."
