Jerry Flores

Jerry is the Disabled Veterans Outreach Program Specialist for the Worksource Oregon Employment Department, covering Benton and Lincoln Counties. He is an active volunteer with several Veteran Service Organizations with the goal of assisting veterans in overcoming barriers to employment, housing, and education. Jerry and his wife Yanina have always made volunteering a family affair, inculcating in their two sons a sense of pride and honor in community service.

Jeremy Burke

Jeremy Burke, as the publisher of the News Times, joined the Olalla Board in 2021 to help Olalla Center develop a clear voice in our community. Jeremy is a community minded, supporter of nonprofit organizations. In his role as publisher he provides media support and helps to generate community awareness of Olalla Center's programs and Services.
Jeremy has served on the Boards of the Oregon Newspaper Publishers Association, Newport Chamber of Commerce, and Newport Rotary Club. Jeremy is an avid photographer. He enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and children.

Will Cotton

Will joined the Olalla Center Board in January 2020 and helped create the first annual Sea of Love Benefit for Olalla Center at the Oregon Coast Aquarium. Will graduated from Central Michigan University in 2010 with a focus on education and English Language Learners. He found his way to Newport in 2013 helping run an energy assistance program for low-income households and now serves as the Volunteer Coordinator at the Oregon Coast Aquarium where he gets to live his dream of connecting humans and nature all day long. His other passions include talking to anyone within earshot about intertidal animals while out tide-pooling, cheesy puns and corny jokes (he's from the midwest after all), traditional fiddle music, and going out on salamander safaris.

Marcia Buckley, JD

Marcia graduated from Lewis and Clark Law School in 1991 and now works as Lincoln County Circuit Court Judge. Currently, she serves on the Oregon State Bar Disciplinary Board, as vice president for the Lincoln County Foundation Board, and is a member of Rotary International Newport Club. Marcia served as president of the Rotary board from 2018-2019. Marcia brings a wealth of experience, including legal/law issues, policy development, business and financial, public relations, strategic planning, and community service.

Dr. Andres A Oroz
Board Member

Dr. Andres A. Oroz is the Vice President of Student Affairs at Oregon Coast Community College. Dr. Oroz has over 15 years of experience in higher education administration in both academic and student affairs within private and public four-year universities and community colleges. He has presented regionally and nationally in areas of student success, leadership, and college access. He has taught graduate courses in higher education administration and research methods.
Dr. Oroz holds a B.A. and M.Ed. in higher education from The University of Texas at El Paso. He holds a Ph.D. from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Organizational Leadership. His research agenda focuses on deepening the understanding of leadership development in higher education, access, and opportunity to higher education. He is fluent in English and Spanish. Dr. Oroz believes a strong commitment to diversity and cultural issues can enhance the student’s college experience.


Sandy Hyduchak

Sandy comes to us with a lifelong history of human service. She began her career as a nurses aid in high school progressing to hospital corpsman in the Navy to going back to school as a "non traditional student" (old) to get a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work at Pacific University. Moving to the coast in 1994, she and her husband Dan have raised their two children nestled in the community of Newport and she has been a long term employee and advocate at the Lincoln County Developmental Disabilities Program. Now empty nesters, she and Dan are enjoying travelling, laundry that doesn't stack up, smaller grocery bills and each other along with their neurotic black lab and two entitled cats.

Jane Lehrer

Jane Lehrer is dedicated to improving the lives of children as a Speech Pathologist for Lincoln County School District and an Olalla Center Board Member. Jane and her husband Dr. Lehrer are active community members and supporters of underprivileged children and community health. They have three teenagers and enjoy travel, hiking and time with family.
