Rev. Ryan Scott
Pastor Trinity United Methodist Church
The Reverend Ryan Scott is licensed pastor in the United Methodist Church currently serving as the pastor at Trinity United Methodist Church in Toledo. Ryan has served churches in Seattle, Eugene, and Springfield. Rev. Scott has a passion for social justice and community engagement. He is currently a student at the Claremont School of Theology in Claremont, CA.
In recent years Rev. Scott has been involved in social justice and community development work including: United Methodist International Forum on Toxic Masculinity, Cultural Innovation Training, Young Clergy Forum on Gun Violence in Washington DC, LGBTQ+ Inclusion and rights in the church and community, and work on immigration and migration justice.
Prior to his work with the church Rev. Scott worked in Springfield Public Schools as an Academic Support Specialist and after school program administrator for a program serving over 150 high school students. Ryan specialized in working with youth returning to public school after incarceration. He also worked for 7 years with the Willamalane Park and Recreation where he worked in programs serving children and youth of all ages.
In his free time Ryan enjoys volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America where he is on the local district committee and responsible for the training of adult leadership throughout Lincoln County. Ryan lives with his fiancé Andre, their Dog, Bailey and their Cat, Pico. Ryan and Andre love being in the outdoors and traveling.
