Olalla Center welcomes Katherine Barnhart to her role as Office Assistant. She will be working closely with administrative staff.
It has come full circle for Barnhart. Her grandfather taught at, and her uncle was adopted through Olalla Center.
“I feel that everything comes full circle, and that it will be a good fit for me,” she said.
Prior to her office assistant position, Barnhart worked the last two years as a personal service worker for children with developmental disabilities. She also worked previously in intellectual or developmental disability housing for adults.
When not at Olalla Center, Barnhart spends time with her horses, and enjoys reading a good book. She is a single mother of two girls who together care for two Chinchillas, a dog named Roger, a cat, a bunny, and two horses.
