Nancy Nash, MEd

Nancy Nash is retired from over 30 years of social service work. Nancy grew up in a large family in Rhode Island. Her brother was a special needs child and Nancy understands first hand the experiences of families with children who have special needs. Nancy moved west to attend college at the University of Hawaii. After earning her Bachelors in Social Work and a Masters Degree in Education.
Nancy became a social worker in Hawaii for several years, before continuing her career in social work at Community Services Consortium (CSC) in Newport, Oregon. Nancy has dedicated her life to helping others, she worked in numerous social service, workforce and education programs at CSC that served vulnerable youth and adults struggling with the causes and conditions of poverty. She helped youth aging out of foster care, and teens and adults who were homeless, in need of a GED or alternative education options, jobless, single parents, pregnant teens, those with learning disabilities, and many others in poverty. Nancy was a teacher of alternative education, a workforce and education community service worker and is currently a community volunteer and board member for Neighbor's for Kids nonprofit and Olalla Center for Children and Families. Nancy enjoys spending time with her husband Richard, and is a proud Auntie of three wonderful young adults. Nancy has a strong belief in the power of volunteerism to strengthen non-profits, the people they serve and the community as a whole.
